My favourite things about Christmas! | BLOGMAS 2017 Day 18

This time next week it'll be Christmas Day! As it's getting nearer, I wanted to share some of my favourite things about the day itself!

Waking up with that excited feeling in your stomach!

We all know the feeling. You wake up a feeling like a kid again! Although the fantasy of Santa may well and truly be over, you still wake up ready to take on the day like a 6 year old!!

Getting the cooking started!

What's Christmas without something going wrong!? There's always too many people in the kitchen, kids or pets running under your feet and something is bound to get burnt! But somehow it all comes together perfectly!! It's a Christmas miracle!!

Opening presents with family!

There's nothing I love more than seeing my family laugh and love what I've picked out for them! I feel like it's such a big build up and some spend so much time and effort on wrapping their gifts perfectly only for them to be torn to shreds in about 2.5 seconds!!

Eating a massive Christmas dinner!

This is what we all wait for! We sit around patiently only to kept being told '10 more minutes!', 'just waiting for the potatoes!' and 'won't be long, nearly there!'. It's tedious and SUCH a tease sitting there smelling all those good smells!! But once it arrives and everyone's sat down, it's go time! It's time to stuff ones gob!!

Putting on some crap TV!

You're all stuffed and waddle on over to the sofa (or anywhere you can park your bum) to watch something on the TV. It could be a film, documentary or a crap Christmas special that's been re-run for the last 10 years!!

The Great Christmas Nap Off!

You try to concentrate on the television, but somehow you've got yourself into the most comfortable position of your whole life. Your eyes start to feel heavy and sooner or later you're out for the count!!

The wind down.

Guests have left, it's silent and it's time to get your feet up. The chaos of Christmas is over for another year! Pop the cork and give yourself a pat on the back!! Chill out with the Celebrations - only to find the best ones have been eaten!! EVERY. TIME!!

Bed time!!

You can't quite believe you made it. It's done! You've crashed from all the sugar and are ready to hit the hay! Just to wake up on Boxing Day and do it all over again! WOO!

What are some of your favourite things about Christmas Day? Let me know in the comments below or on Twitter here!!

Thanks for reading! I'll be back tomorrow with day 19 of Blogmas! See you then! :)
