Types of people at Christmas! | BLOGMAS 2017 DAY 4

Today I've come up with some examples of people you may know or even be around the festive season!

When you zone out of the conversation

I'm guilty of this myself! You're around the table, your family are discussing something completely meaningless to you, you then stare at your plate for so long you end up in a complete world of your own only to be interrupted by the sound of your name. Looking up, you see everyone staring at you waiting for you to answer a question you didn't hear.

When someone loves their gift that you bought them

This is probably one of the best feelings ever. You've brainstormed and scoured the shops to find the perfect present for someone. They open it and the overwhelming sense of pride you get is unbeatable!!

When your family starts asking questions you will never know the answer to

I can't be the only one to have a barrage of questions from family members whenever the opportunity arises. The questions such as: 'When are you going to get a boyfriend/girlfriend?', 'What are you going to do as a career?', 'When are you getting married/having kids?'. Like, dude, I don't even know what I'm going to have for dinner tomorrow let alone have the mental capacity to think about huge life decisions like that. Not today!

Christmas dinner so good you barely make it to the couch before passing out

This is the beauty of Christmas. Completely stuffing yourself until you feel like you're going to explode, patiently waiting for the rest of the family to finish their food so you can wobble on over to wherever there is a space to pass the fuck out! You spend a couple of hours sleeping to wake up to eat more! Beautiful!!

When it hits 5 o'clock somewhere

There's always the notorious member of the family who always jokes about drinking too much but you can tell they're gasping for a drop of something all day! It's almost as if they're counting down the minutes until they can pop a cork and get to it!

When someone starts being racist/homophobic/etc.

It's inevitable people will have different opinions however some will cross the line and be seriously offensive. I'm sure there are many of you who have ended up in a heated discussion about a subject you're passionate about and it's often like talking to a brick wall.

When your extra side comes out at Christmas

The decorations, lights, tree, hats, clothes, EVERY. THING. There's glitter and sparkles and snow and silver and gold and red. Tinsel, garlands and Poinsettias galore. Some of us do (and should!) take it too far but why not? It's Christmas!!

So there we are! A few examples of people around Christmas time! Let me know if you have any more and I'll do this again! Which of these are you? Let me know on Twitter here!!
